No. Most of Dr. Jaffe's clients are high-functioning people who feel off, overwhelmed, or stuck rather than in crisis. Therapy is for anyone ready to look at what's underneath.

Therapy is a licensed clinical service. It works with trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain, looks at how the past shapes the present, and is available to California residents.

Coaching is goal-oriented and forward-facing: habits, planning, growth. It doesn't diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is available anywhere. If you're not sure which you need, that's what the consultation is for.

Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm in high-functioning people. Trauma, including the subtle, cumulative kind. Reliance on alcohol, substances, food, or control to cope. Codependency, intimacy, and communication breakdowns in couples. Unresolved anger, guilt, or shame.

Yes. Therapy by secure video throughout California, coaching by video anywhere, and in-person sessions at the Encino office.

Yes. Much of Dr. Jaffe's practice is high-achieving men, and he also works with women, couples, and individuals of all backgrounds. There's a separate six-week program for women, co-led with Dr. Mitra Rashidian.

No. Therapy is week to week; when you decide to stop, one week's notice is appreciated. Coaching is available as single sessions or packages.

Individual and couples sessions (60 minutes) are $450. Thirty-minute sessions are $225. Dr. Jaffe is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance, but provides superbills you can submit for possible reimbursement. Major cards, Zelle, HSA/FSA, and checks are accepted.
