Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and all services, programs, digital products, and consultations offered by Dr. Robert B. Jaffe, PhD ("Dr. Jaffe," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or purchase any services.

These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use the website, whether or not they purchase a service.

Services Offered

Dr. Jaffe offers the following services through this website and related platforms:

• Individual psychotherapy (California residents only, subject to licensure)
• Couples therapy (California residents only)
• Group programs, including Habit to Mastery and Authentic Power Integration
• Wellness coaching (available to clients outside California)
• Diagnostic assessments and digital products available through the Shop
• Free resources including the 3-Minute Quiz and 48-Question Snapshot

The nature, scope, and availability of each service is described on the relevant program or product page. Dr. Jaffe reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.

Section 03

Not a Medical Service

Dr. Jaffe is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #MFC30916) in the State of California. Therapy services are only available to individuals physically located in California at the time of service. Coaching services do not constitute therapy and are not subject to the same legal protections as a licensed therapeutic relationship.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or 911 immediately. Do not rely on this website or any communication with Dr. Jaffe as a substitute for emergency services.

Section 04

Eligibility

To use this website and purchase services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or 13 years of age with verified parental consent where adolescent services are offered. By using this site, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

Therapy services are restricted to individuals physically located in California. Coaching and group programs are available to eligible adults regardless of location, unless otherwise noted.

Section 05

Payments and Refunds

All fees for services and digital products are stated on the relevant program or product page. Prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change. Payment is due at the time of purchase unless a payment plan has been expressly agreed upon in writing.

Digital products and assessments are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded, as they are delivered immediately upon purchase.

Group programs: A full refund is available if cancellation is requested in writing at least 7 days before the program start date. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. No refund is available after the program has begun.

Individual and couples therapy: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full. Exceptions may be made at Dr. Jaffe's discretion for documented emergencies.

Payment plans, where offered, require completion of all scheduled payments regardless of whether services are fully utilized. Failure to complete payment may result in suspension of access to services.

Section 06

Confidentiality

All information shared within a licensed therapeutic relationship is protected by California law and applicable federal regulations, including HIPAA where applicable. Dr. Jaffe will not disclose your information without your written consent, except as required by law, including mandatory reporting obligations.

Coaching and group program participants acknowledge that while Dr. Jaffe maintains strict confidentiality, other group members are not bound by the same legal obligations. Participants in group programs are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all other members as a condition of participation.

Information shared through contact forms, quizzes, or assessments on this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio files, assessments, program materials, and digital products, is the intellectual property of Dr. Robert B. Jaffe, PhD, and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from this website without the prior written consent of Dr. Jaffe. Personal, non-commercial use for your own reference is permitted.

The MDRT (Multi-Dimensional Relational Therapy) framework, program names, and associated methodologies are proprietary to Dr. Jaffe and may not be used, taught, or replicated without express written permission.

Section 08

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dr. Robert B. Jaffe, PhD, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this website or any services purchased through it.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of this website or services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the claim.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Section 11

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the laying of venue in Los Angeles County.
